Description

System Sensor 5604 Fixed Temperature Heat Detector

Overview

The System Sensor 5604 is a fixed temperature mechanical heat detector rated for 35VDC operation on conventional 2-wire fire alarm loops. It detects sustained heat and signals an alarm when temperature reaches a fixed threshold, delivering reliable thermal protection without addressable logic or processing overhead. This box-style detector fits general building protection where you need straightforward heat detection—warehouses, mechanical rooms, storage areas—without the complexity of analog or smart-sensor integration.

Compatibility

The 5604 integrates into conventional fire alarm systems using standard 2-wire wiring schemes. It is compatible with conventional fire panels and control systems that support mechanical heat detection at 35VDC. No specialized addressable module or converter is required—it connects directly to a conventional detection loop.

Installation Notes

Mount the detector in the box form factor where wall-mounted or ceiling-mounted installation is required. The 35VDC operating voltage must be supplied by the fire alarm control panel's conventional loop circuit. Verify loop current capacity before installation; confirm the control panel supports the detector's operating specification. The mechanical thermal element requires no calibration or configuration after installation.
